Introducing San Antonio Chiropractor Dr. Charles Webb

“I admit, my parents were skeptic,” remembers Dr. Charles Webb “but at the age of 18, I insisted that they take my younger brother, Steve, to a chiropractor.

Dr. Charles WebbAlthough he was only 14 at the time, he had severe pain and stiffness in his neck and was losing the use of his right arm.  My mother was also worried, as she had already taken him to our family doctor and was told he had a type of arthritis that occurs in children and to simply medicate. Being slightly reluctant, Mom made an appointment to see Dr. Doug Hadel, who coincidentally was my brothers’ best friends’ older brother.

“It was incredible,” continues Dr. Webb. “I’ll never forget that first adjustment. It was as if a huge weight was suddenly lifted from my brothers’ shoulders. It wasn’t long after that Steve was completely back to normal…healthy!  That’s when I decided I wanted to be a chiropractor.”

Dr. Webb began his pre-chiropractic education at Kansas State University where he studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing his bachelor’s degree in science, he was accepted at Cleveland College of Chiropractic in Kansas City Missouri. During his four years at Cleveland, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Cleveland College Public Clinic. After graduating in 1986 Dr. Webb began his career as a team chiropractor for the Kansas City Comets, a professional soccer team based in Kansas City. In 1992 he moved to beautiful San Antonio, Texas to build his chiropractic and wellness center.

Dr. Webb continues his ongoing education in the fields of nutrition, anti-aging, endocrinology, and fitness.  He has additional certifications in cervical spine trauma, functional endocrinology and neurology.

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Webb. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Patients appreciate that.”

Dr. Webb is married to Mindi and they have a son, Landon. Landon received his first chiropractic adjustment at 2 weeks and vaccinations have been avoided. (If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Webb to explain!)

“Thank you for visiting our site. I hope it can be a source of hope and healing. If you have any questions, please call me or click on the Email the Doctor button at the bottom of every page.”

Dr. Charles Asks some important questions of interest to San Antonio residents - Chiropractor San Antonio Dr. Charles Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more San Antonio folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
